Process Characteristics
Characteristics of explosive composite process
1. Because explosive cladding is cold processing, it can produce many kinds of metal clad plates except stainless steel clad plates, such as titanium, copper, aluminum, etc.
2. Explosion cladding can produce stainless steel clad plates with a total thickness of several hundred millimeters, such as some large bases and tube sheets. However, it is not suitable for the production of thinner composite steel plates with a total thickness of less than 10 mm.
3. The energy production of explosive compound utilization will cause vibration, noise and smoke pollution to the environment. However, the investment in equipment is small, and there are hundreds of explosion production plants in China. Due to the limitation of weather and other process conditions, the production efficiency of explosive recombination is low.
Characteristics of hot rolling compound process
1. Large medium plate mill and hot strip mill are used for production, so the production efficiency is high and the supply speed is fast. The product has large breadth and free thickness combination. All stainless steel coatings with a thickness of more than 0.5mm can be produced. However, the investment is large, so there are few manufacturers.
2. Due to the limitation of the compression ratio of rolled steel, hot rolling cannot produce composite steel plates with a thickness of more than 50 mm, nor is it convenient to produce composite plates with special shapes such as small batches and circles. Advantages of hot rolled composite plate: 6, 8, 10 mm thin composite plate. Under the condition of hot continuous rolling, it can produce composite coils, reduce production costs and meet more user needs.
3. Under the current technical conditions, the hot rolling process cannot directly produce titanium, copper, aluminum and other non-ferrous metal composites plate.
Cold rolled stainless steel clad plate
On the basis of hot rolled stainless steel composite plates, through annealing, pickling, cold rolling, intermediate annealing, pickling (or bright annealing), tension straightening and finishing and other production processes, stainless steel composite coils (plates) suitable for civil use have been produced. The surface quality of the plates reaches that of stainless steel of the same series, and the yield strength is superior to that of stainless steel of the same brand. The minimum thickness is 0.6 mm.
